VERNON SCHOOL SUPPLIES
WE GOT YOU!
Did you know our school goes through 14,000 pencils and 900 boxes of tissues each year?!
This year the PTA has compiled the supplies lists from all teachers, to be able to place a bulk order for supplies for all students. The cost per student comes to about $40, but feel free to donate what you can toward the fund. If you're interested in sponsoring a student, feel free to add on to your order! All supplies will be available for every class, (including headphones), so all you'll need to send with your kids to school is a water bottle and a backpack!
(And a change of clothes for the younger grades.)

2024 Ice cream social!
Sweet & Meet
This year’s Ice Cream Social, sponsored by the PTA, is coming up soon! What’s the Ice Cream Social? It’s an annual school-wide party at Alberta Park, for all students, staff & families. It offers the opportunity to meet teachers, see friends and eat ice-cream! Pretty sweet!
The timing of this event is based on accommodating our faculty and staff, so that when they finish their day at the school, they come straight across to Alberta Park to see their students! It’s a pretty exciting thing to see!
This is the perfect way to start off the school year, and we hope to see you there!

MEMBERSHIP
Membership means community engagement and broad participation around the common goal of making every Vernon Owl’s potential a reality. We are required to send $9.50 to the Oregon State PTA/National PTA for each member, so the suggested amount for membership is $9.50 per person, plus the processing fees. This money is used to support PTA efforts on a state and national level including advocacy for policy changes. It is important that every voice is heard and represented, and so to remove finances as a barrier to joining the PTA, we invite you to pay what is comfortable for your family and budget, by making a donation (link below), and we’ll cover the rest.
If becoming a PTA member isn’t for you, we invite you to still get involved. Come to the meetings. Volunteer as you can. Share your thoughts, concerns and ideas.
