DIA DE LOS MUERTOS

Please Join us for an evening to honor & have fun

Join me at Las Familias’ fourth annual Día de los Muertos Family Celebration Night Thursday 11/2, 500-7:00pm in the MPR.

Please bring photocopies of pictures of your loved ones who have passed—family, friends, furry friends—anyone important to you who has crossed into the land of the spiritis!

You can make a decorative frame for each of them, add add them to the Vernon Ofrenda. You can bring offering of things they enjoyed while they were here in this world to place beneath their pictures, or bring candles, flowers, or help yourself to some of the materials provided.

Make a calavera (skull crafts), get your face painted, play Lotería, and sample some sweet delights.

There will be lots of snack and sweets, but no full meal served—we recommend having a hearty snack before you arrive!

We will be setting up the altar this Friday after school (3:30pm) in the MPR and need volunteers as well.

Únase a mi en la cuarta noche anual de celebración familiar del Día de los Muertos de las Familias el jueves 2 de noviembre 5:00 - 7:00pm en el MPR.

Por favor traiga fotocopias de las fotos de sus seres queridos que han fallecido (familiares, amigos, amigos peludos) cualquier persona importante para usted que haya cruzado la tierra de los espíritus.

Puede hacer un marco decorativo para cada uno de ellos y agregarlos a la ofrenda de Vernon. Puedes traer ofrendas de las cosas que disfrutaron mientras estuvieron aquí en este mundo para colocar debajo de sus fotos, o traer velas, flores, o servirte para algunas de las ofrendas provistas.

Haz manualidades de calaveras, pinta tu cara, juega Lotería, y prueba un poco de meriendas.

Tenga en cuenta que habrá refrigerios y dulces, pero no se servirá una comida completa. Recomendamos tomar un refrigerio abundante antes de su llegada!

KIYOKAWA APPLE ORDERS - PICKUP

If you ordered apples for our Fall fundraiser, pick-up will be at Vernon between 3:15 - 7:00, (after school & during the Día de los Muertos event.).

If there is a strike, and the campus is closed, an alternative location for pick-up will be announced.
